Factory features, switched on.
Many Land Rover Defender L663 vehicles leave the factory with hardware fitted but switched off. We activate it with genuine Land Rover coding. Every retrofit is fitted, wired and coded in our Sheffield workshop to an OEM-style standard, so it looks and works as if it left the factory.
01 / Software
For Defender L663 (2020 onwards). Coding-only activations use genuine Land Rover software. Availability depends on factory-fitted hardware, so we check your VIN before booking.
Uses the factory forward radar to match the speed of traffic and hold a set following distance. Plenty of Defenders leave the factory with the sensors fitted but the feature switched off.
Requires factory forward-facing radar.
With the key on you, your Defender unlocks as you walk up to it and locks itself once you've walked away. No fumbling for the key with your hands full.
Requires factory keyless hardware.
Point the rotary controller or touchscreen in the direction you want the trailer to go and the system steers for you while you control the speed. Cameras give live on-screen guidance.
Requires factory hardware including the Land Rover OEM towing module — cannot be activated on aftermarket towing electronics.
Many Defenders are built with the Park Assist sensors and modules already fitted but switched off in software. This activation enables it with no extra hardware.
Requires factory parking sensors.
Switches automatically between main and dipped beam using the forward-facing camera.
Requires forward camera and headlight hardware.
Watches the traffic behind and warns you when a vehicle is closing too quickly, giving you valuable seconds to react.
Requires the relevant rear sensor hardware.
Your Defender remembers your last stop/start setting instead of switching it back on every journey.
Coding only.
MY24-on Defenders default driver assistance back to its highest setting at every start. This activation makes your chosen setting stick.
MY24 onwards.
Close every window at once from outside the vehicle using the key fob.
Coding only.
Enables the built-in Wi-Fi hotspot, turning your Defender into a shared connection for phones, tablets and laptops.
Needs an in-car data plan or paired phone; depends on model year and specification.
Replaces the standard Pivi Pro start-up graphic with the SV Bespoke welcome sequence every time you get in.
